CALL FOR EASIER ACCESS TO CANNABIS FOR CHRONIC PAIN SUFFERERS

Liberal Democrats Senator David Leyonhjelm is pushing for the Federal Government to break the barriers preventing thousands of Australians suffering from chronic pain from accessing medicinal cannabis. Senator Leyonhjelm comments come ahead of HEMP Embassy campaigners protesting against the restrictions on cannabis use as the prescription-only rules for codeine come into effect.

Senator Leyonhjelm commented that “it has now become a matter of urgency that seriously ill patients obtain access to an effective and safe alternative.”
