A study conducted by researchers from The Lambert Initiative for Cannabinoid Therapeutics at the University of Sydney found that almost two thirds of 640 Australian GPs surveyed have had patients ask about the drug. However, most of GPs who took part in the survey didn’t feel they knew enough about medicinal cannabis to discuss it with their patients and fewer than one in 10 knew the process involved in prescribing medicinal cannabis.
